Catching Up

Hi friends.  How are you?  I feel a bit disconnected.  We haven't caught up in a while, have we?  I feel pulled in a million different directions, but I know it won't last forever.  While it's easy for me to think, "Oh, there isn't very much going on," there are a few fun/interesting/random things that have been on my mind.

First of all, I have a new addiction.  I can't go one week without making deviled eggs.  I crave them.  I need them.  They are my new go-to comfort food.  I know, it's gross.  There's nothing good about a girl eating a half-dozen deviled eggs by herself on a Saturday.  There are worse things I could be eating, right?

Also, I HATE packing inventory.  I hate it.  It is my least favorite part of the week.  It takes me at least two hours to box, pack, tape, wrap, weigh, tape again, and print labels.  And then you need to schlep 15 pounds of boxes to the post office Monday morning, fill out ridiculous custom forms, and annoy everyone in the line because your packages take SO MUCH LONGER than the guy behind you who just wants to buy stamps.  I've made friends with the postal workers.  And I've made enemies with the postal customers.  I'm that girl.

Also, I decided this weekend to outfit our house for spring.  I had a lot of time, remember?  When I went to my wholesaler on Saturday morning, they had tons of cute springy things.  One of these things was this adorable bird.  Cute, right?  Right now he's spicing up our kitchen.  I think he's homey.

Maybe I'm just nesting for spring.  Get it?  Nesting?  I crack myself up.

Also, I may or may not be planning out an Easter menu for our families.  Too soon?

I feel better getting all this out.  How are you doing?  Let's catch up.

  1. Oh, I am already planning the Easter menu. And I may or may not have already purchased basket and gifts for Simon's first Easter. Also, you have inspired me to pull out spring decorations and I may be buying fresh flowers this weekend (unless you a maybe planning on branching into home decor) all while ignoring the mountains of writing I have to get done.

  2. Oh, first Easter! So much fun. Being prepared is always a good thing. And it's a great distraction from doing the things you have to do!
