The Year of the Mustache?

('This is sponsored content from BlogHer and P&G')

I don't know about you, but I think 2012 was the year of the mustache.  Mustaches everywhere!  On coffee mugs and tee shirts and photo-booth props, and most of all, on people.  I'm not a mustache fan.  I think they are prickly and hide nice faces.  When I was a little girl, I wouldn't hug or kiss my grandfather until he was clean-shaven.  I found his whiskers incredibly prickly.  He always obliged.  (Yes, I was well-loved.)

See how clean-shaven Nick is?
He rarely goes past shaving every other or every third day.  And that's how I like it.  Fortunately, that's how he likes it too.  No whiskers to worry about here.

That being said, I know SO MANY women who love mustaches and beards!  What's up with that?

With Christmas about a week away, you may have realized like I did this weekend that you are completely, totally unprepared.  I tried to make a lot of my gifts this year, but there are some people who just aren't into the handmade thing.  Like men.  Men are complicated to shop for, right?  What do they like?  What do they want?  I have no idea.  Usually I wander around Home Depot until a nice associate is kind enough to tell me what I should get.

This year, The Art of Shaving is jumping in just in time to help people like me shop for hard-to-shop-for men.  I jumped when I saw their promotion because whenever I am shopping for those men in our lives, I always go to their store.  First of all, their staff are the most attentive sales clerks on the planet.  They are shaving experts.  And the shop is pretty adorable too.  And everything smells so good!  I also love the little brushes - cute, right?
This is the Pro-Glide Power Shave Set, and I think it would work for any man with too many whiskers.  And until December 30, you can get free ground shipping and 10% off the set by using coupon code 10PowerShave when you check out.  They also have great little stocking stuffers, and have an easy to navigate website with all their products.  Click here to learn more about the deal: http://tinyurl.com/clyn6fl

Ladies, if your man loves his 'stach, at least demand that he clean it up this holiday season!

  1. BLASPHEMY! That certainly does look like a lovely shaving kit, but oh Winter is my favorite time of year to man-spot! All those handsome BEARDS!!! I swoon just thinking about waking up next to one of those fury, bear-like faces! Perhaps I'll keep a nice trimmer (to keep those handsome beards nice & tidy...Bob Vila is cool, but Grizzly Adams is not) on my next gift list. ;O)

  2. Is this a hint for your father-in-law? I'm not wild about mustaches or beards, but I haven't seen his entire face since '94...'95??? Maybe I won't like his face anymore! Maybe he'll shave it for you! There's an idea for a gift for me!!! Most men just don't realize that they don't look good with facial hair. And even those who do look nice with a beard and/or mustache, rarely keep it trimmed properly. Hmm...one more gift to buy....?
