Week two has been full of many baby firsts. In no particular order...
-Your first walks. You hate the very nice and expensive stroller that Mommy and Daddy saved up to buy for you. So Mommy wears you in a wrap, and all the people in the neighborhood squeal at the tiny baby who looks so cute all bundled up. I love carrying you, but seriously, we need to work on the stroller situation.
-Your first bath. You loved being in the water, which shocked us. You hated being taken out of the water, which did not shock us.
-Your first day with Mommy alone when Daddy went back to work (today!). No one was happy about that. Especially because you only seem to poop for Daddy. That makes for a long day.
-Your first trip to visit our friends at the fertility center. In an odd coincidence, all of the staff happened to be there at the same time. We all cried. It was pretty amazing.
-The first time you peed on Mommy not once, not twice, but three times in a row (all within a two minute span). Mommy just couldn't get one diaper on fast enough for you, so you decided to teach her a lesson. We're talking projectile pee. Also, the first time Mommy didn't care enough to change out of her wet pajamas. Lazy Mommy.
-The first time that, out of complete necessity, Mommy fed you in the back seat of the car in a Home Depot parking lot. I have public feeding anxiety, but that's definitely something I need to get over if I ever want to leave the house with you for more than an hour. A tiny victory, but it made me feel a little bit like Supermom.
All in all, an excellent second week. It's also important to note that you've grown six ounces and one inch in the past seven days. Who gave you permission to get bigger??
